Based on poll responses from over 12,500 foreign-born individuals, it represents their opinions on four major work-related topics: career prospects, pay and job security, work culture and contentment, and work and leisure.

In terms of work and leisure as well as work culture and satisfaction, Denmark comes in first.

Approximately 84% of foreign workers in Denmark are content with their work-life balance, which is higher than the global average of 60%. A comparable percentage are content with their work hours and work an average of 39.2 hours per week, which is lower than the global average of 42.5 hours.

Saudi Arabia foreign workers report enjoying flexibility at work, with 68% stating they may work remotely and a shorter workweek than average (40.8 hours).


Based on the InterNations study, Panama was ranked as the best country overall for foreigners living abroad. Foreigners indicate they are content with the quality of life, ease of settling in, working abroad, personal money, and a "expat essentials" score that covers housing, administration, language, and digital life. These elements are taken into account in the overall ranking, which also takes into consideration broader life and financial factors.
