For those who are unaware, ghosting is the act of a friend or potential love interest abruptly ceasing all communication with you without giving a reason.
The singer of What Was I Made For also mentioned how difficult it was for her to keep friendships when she first became well-known.
When Eilish released her first single, Ocean Eyes, she was only 14 years old. She quickly rose to fame throughout the world after that and won numerous accolades in the process.
After seeing her first new album, Billie Eilish sobbed.
Eilish said to Miquita Oliver and Lily Allen, "I've definitely been ghosted."
The encounter, she added, occurred in December of last year and was "literally unbelievable." He never texted me again to this day."
"Did you pass away, I wondered? Did you really pass away? "She said
pass away? ", she questioned. "I had planned to meet with this person, who I had known for years; we spoke over the phone the day before, and I told him to meet me at 3 p.m., but I never heard from him again." At all. It was unbelievable to me." Afterwards, Eilish claimed, she discovered he was seeing someone else.
And I let out a "oh." However, I had no idea that was still a thing. To be honest, I had no idea that was a thing.
Hit Me Hard and Soft, the singer-songwriter's third studio album, was made available last month.
Her song "What Was I Made For?" from the Barbie soundtrack, which she co-wrote with her brother Finneas O'Connell, received the Oscar for Best Song earlier this year.
At this year's Oscars, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O'Connell gave a performance.
"Well, when I became famous, I lost all of my friends," she remarked.
"When I became renowned overnight, I was unable to connect with anyone. It was difficult. It was quite difficult.
Eilish claimed that Zoe, her closest friend, stuck by her side. Her staff, however, were her only other companions.
When I turned 20 years old, I recall gazing across the room and seeing just the folks I worked with. and all at least fifteen years my senior."
She claimed that after that, one of those workers abruptly quit and ceased corresponding with her. And it was the worst thing I had ever experienced. And I realized, 'Oh wait, this is a job,'" she remarked. "If they left me they would never see me again.
Since then, Eilish claimed, she has struggled to maintain a good relationship with her coworkers "because I'm very freaked out by loss and I have a lot of abandonment issues.
She did, however, add that she had put a lot of effort into forming new friendships and rekindling existing ones.
